Fishbourne Community 50/50 Club
The origin of the 50/50 club was to raise funds for the redevelopment of the Fishbourne Centre. Having completed that project the objective was changed to raise funds for a defibrillator and, most recently, to raise funds for the children’s playground.
Now in 2020 the fund is being relaunched in the lead up to the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Fishbourne Playing Field Charity and the purchase of the land for the playing fields.
The funds raised through the club will help to fund the ever increasing cost of maintaining the facilities on the site – many of which are free to use.
Members of the 50/50 club pay £5 per month for a chance to win a monthly cash prize. The minimum value of the prize fund is £100, split into 3 prizes – £50, £30, £20. If the monthly subscriptions exceed £200 then the prizes are increased so that the total prize money is 50% of the value of the monthly subscriptions.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 and subscriptions are paid monthly by standing order or by cheque annually in advance.
Winning entries are drawn by the administrator each month and prizes are paid by cheque. Lists of winners are displayed on the notice board at the Fishbourne centre and the last 3 months can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.
